Tadpole Kayak Class
This class is designed for kids aged 6 to 8 years old to learn the very basics of kayaking. We will learn about elementary river safety, boat control, and paddling! Safety is always of utmost importance in all classes offered at 4 Corners, and in our Tadpole class, we pay special attention to keeping the kids comfortable.
Day 1 begins with a meet-and-greet session for kids, parents, and instructors. We will use this time to learn about other experiences the kids may have had on the river and to understand what they want to accomplish in the class. After this, we can get the kids fitted with their boats and gear. Then, we will get into our solar-heated pool to learn how to wet exit!
Throughout the class, we will spend time at the lake learning proper paddling techniques, as well as playing games to become more comfortable in our kayaks. By the end of the class, we hope kids will understand the basics of kayaking and have a newfound passion for the water!
This class includes all gear, transportation, and instructors.

Cancellation Policy
The Southwest can have very sudden and unpredictable changes in weather. All classes run rain or shine, unless there are weather related safety concerns. All programs may be changed at our discretion. To keep our classes affordable, we must fill a program with a minimum amount of participants. We reserve the right to cancel the program if the minimum amount of participants is not met. A full refund will be provided if a class is cancelled, and you will be notified no later than 48 hours before the beginning of the class.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your reservation, please do so 48 hours or more before the beginning of the class. Cancellations within 48 hours of the beginning of the program are non- refundable. If you wish to reschedule within 48 hours before the beginning of the program, we can provide a 50% credit towards the rescheduled class.
