We are excited to partner with the Durango Recreation Center Dirt Lovers class! Dirt + Paddle Lovers is a thrilling summer camp that taps into Durango’s best outdoor adventures. Spend your mornings ripping scenic singletrack and hot laps at BMX under the guidance of experienced cycling coaches. Learn essential skills like bike handling, maintenance, and trail etiquette while exploring Durango’s renowned trail networks. After lunch, swap your bike for a kayak or standup paddleboard to master whitewater paddling on the Animas River with 4Corners Riversports Paddling School. Each day will bring a new watercraft to get the real experience of whitewater boating. ACA-certified instructors will cover the basics of reading water, river hydrology, river safety, whitewater swimming, and more. With expert instruction, you’ll gain skills and confidence on both dirt and water!
Dirt Gear:
- Geared mountain bike with 24’’+ wheels, helmet, closed-toed shoes, water bottle, lunch, and snacks
Boating Gear:
- All whitewater gear included
- Prerequisites: None
- Age:Â 8-16
- Duration: 5 days
- Included: All gear, transportation and instructors
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
The Southwest can have very sudden and unpredictable changes in weather. All classes run rain or shine, unless there are weather related safety concerns. All programs may be changed at our discretion. To keep our classes affordable, we must fill a program with a minimum amount of participants. We reserve the right to cancel the program if the minimum amount of participants is not met. A full refund will be provided if a class is cancelled, and you will be notified no later than 48 hours before the beginning of the class.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your reservation, please do so 48 hours or more before the beginning of the class. Cancellations within 48 hours of the beginning of the program are non- refundable. If you wish to reschedule within 48 hours before the beginning of the program, we can provide a 50% credit towards the rescheduled class.
