The Sawyer PoleCat Counterbalanced Rope Wrapped Whitewater Raft Oar is the perfect oar for those rowers looking for a quality, lightweight oar that won't break the bank, yet provide the performance expected from a fiberglass composite oar shaft. The PoleCat comes standard with a 2 lbs internal counter balance, rope shaft wrap with rubber stop. This is our most popular seller and for good reason. If you want performance on a budget, the Sawyer PoleCat is your choice. Shaft only, blades sold separately.
- Fiberglass Counterbalanced whitewater oar.
- Interchangeable blades via TiteSet Blade Lock - solid, fail safe connection that won't rattle or jam up.
- Comes standard with 2 lbs internal counter balance, rope wrap, and rubber stop.
- Laminated Fir barrel grip with vinyl grip covers.
- Shaft diameter: 1 5/8" I.D.
- Available without counter balance and / or with Gilman Grips. Call for pricing.
- Shaft only, blades sold separately. Will work with Carlisle or Cataract blades, but will be approx. 2" shorter overall.
- Length is measured with blades on! Actual shaft length will be approx. 30" shorter than the listed length.
- We HIGHLY recommend using Sawyer Cobra Oar Locks with these oars. Designs with narrower horns (like the NRS Superstons) can cause a pressure point on the oar that can cause it to ultimately fail.
