We set up Whitewater Technology to do things differently in the paddlesports industry. Frustrated by a lack of sustainability in carbon high performance outdoor products that ultimately end up in landfill, we knew there was a better way.
We've been researching and prototyping the use of recycled carbon fiber for the last few years in order to deliver a product that is both sustainable AND performs as well (or better) than a traditional carbon fiber paddle.
The result is our first paddle range which is available for pre-order now. All of our paddles contain at least 40% recycled carbon fiber, and our production processes are fully sustainable to minimize waste and reduce our environmental impact.
By manufacturing 100% in South Carolina here in the USA we're also massively reducing the carbon footprint that results from overseas manufacturing and transportation of finished paddles or component parts half way round the world.
Let's face it, who wants to be out paddling in nature with a product that doesn't match up to your own love of the great outdoors.
Whitewater technology paddles are built with a new era of advanced material science. Custom made high impact non-woven and recycled carbon is integrated with a thermoplastic resin system to improve paddle durability and performance of every stroke whilst being friendly to the environment.
Adding this to an aramid puncture resistant layer creates the strongest paddles on the market.
