The Sawyer PoleCat Counterbalanced Rope Wrapped Whitewater Raft Oar is the perfect oar for those rowers looking for a quality, lightweight oar that won't break the bank, yet provide the performance expected from a fiberglass composite oar shaft. The PoleCat comes standard with a 2 lbs internal counter balance, rope shaft wrap with rubber stop. This is our most popular seller and for good reason. Length is measured with blades on! Actual shaft length will be approx. 30" shorter than the listed length.
We HIGHLY recommend using Sawyer Cobra Oar Locks with these oars. Designs with narrower horns (like the NRS Superstons) can cause a pressure point on the oar that can cause it to ultimately fail.
