Main Salmon: Multi Day Kayak Adventure

Join us for a 6-day paddling adventure on Idaho’s legendary Wild and Scenic River of No Return. This raft-supported kayak trip, offered in partnership with Salmon River Adventure Company (SRAC), combines the thrill of kayaking with professional instruction and the ease of full river support.

Paddle approximately 80 miles of the Main Salmon River, navigating fun, splashy Class I–III whitewater surrounded by towering canyon walls and pristine wilderness. Each day, you’ll work with 4Corners Riversports Paddle School ACA-certified instructors to refine your technique, build confidence, and advance your paddling skills through personalized coaching and on-river sessions.

With raft support from SRAC, you can focus on improving your paddling while we handle the gear, meals, and logistics. Bring your own kayak and personal camping gear, and we’ll take care of everything else. Each night, unwind on sandy beach camps, enjoy hearty meals, and relax under star-filled skies.

Experience one of the West’s most iconic river journeys for six unforgettable days of skill-building, adventure, and connection on the beautiful Salmon River.

ITINERARY:

Day 1 - Kickoff & hit the Water

Welcome to your river adventure! Arrive at Salmon River Adventure Co. (SRAC) by 8 am, dressed for the river and ready to roll. We will load up the van for a scenic 2-hour drive down a rugged dirt road to the legendary Corn Creek boat ramp.

We’ll fuel up with lunch riverside, run through a safety talk, and then—we’re off! You’ll be paddling, splashing, and soaking in stunning canyon views by early afternoon. Expect to be on the water until about 4 pm.

Pro tip: helping carry gear is always appreciated and adds to the team camaraderie!

Days 2–5 – River Life, Wild & Wonderful

Each day is full of river magic, from sunrise coffees to starry night skies. Daily instruction will focus on key river moves, including eddy turns, ferrying, peel-outs, surfing waves, and reading river features, skills that will enhance both your safety and enjoyment on moving water. Each evening, we will play games, share stories, or just soak in the serenity.

Day 6 – The Final Float & Fond Farewells

Our last morning on the river starts early to make the most of it! We will paddle to the take-out after lunch and head back to McCall
