SNAP DRAGON DESIGN is proud to be more than a designer and manufacturer of kayak accessories. We are avid participants in the worldwide sport of kayaking. Our distinctive designs arise from personal experience as well as through feedback from our customers. We seek to improve performance and comfort with the latest construction features and materials.
<p>We make our products in our humble shop just outside of Seattle Washington. From patterning, cutting, sewing and taping we are a hands on company. Rich Wilson started the company in the early 1980’s in his basement, at a time when there was a lack of kayaking accessories to satisfy his own kayaking needs. Mr. Wilson still spends half his day at the sewing machine.
<p>Snap Dragon’s name serves as a tribute to the play wave on the Wenatchee River. The area was a favorite for many Northwest kayakers. Unfortunately high water washed away the wave in 1992.
<p>In addition to providing top quality spray skirts and accessories, we stand behind our products with responsive support and delivery. The SNAP DRAGON Fit list is updated constantly to include the latest boat designs. If there is a boat we’ve missed please let us know. Custom orders may be placed and are generally accommodated within 2-3 weeks of being ordered.
<p>Catering to a wide variety of kayakers, from experts who push the limits in extremely challenging conditions to novices who enjoy exploring scenic waters. Our customers include Olympic athletes, world class competitors, expedition leaders, outfitters, instructional programs and individual enthusiasts.
