Think you've got what it takes to be the next Cast Iron Chef?? Join us as a competitor  for the 3rd Annual Cast Iron Chef Competition at 4CRS! 

Competition / tasting is Sunday, April 21st from 1-3pm. 

Rules and Regs

  • Maximum of 10 teams (solo or tandem teams)
  • Teams must make a meal a large meal to feed a 20-person river trip (approx. 150 small portions)
  • Appetizer and dessert are not required (the winning team had both).
  • Each team will have 1.5 hours to cook (starting at 11:30am). Meals must be ready by 1pm!
  • No pre-cooking! Prep is ok!
  • Teams must use their own camp/river kitchen, tables, and wash station for cooking. You may only cook with what you would have on the river.
  • 4CRS will provide plates, napkins, cutlery for tasters.
  • All food expenses are assumed by the competitors. 4CRS will reimburse $150 to competitors to help with costs on April 15th.
  • Proper safety and sanitation practices will be required!
  • Teams will need to check in at 11am to get set up.

Judges

  • People’s Choice!
  • 4CRS will sell 150 tickets and each judge will be given a ticket to put into the jar of their favorite chef (s) dish. Tickets will go on sale April 15th-April 21st.
  • Around 2pm (river time) the tickets will be counted and Cast Iron Chef Announced!
